Why you should book a pre-wedding shoot

Having a pre-wedding photoshoot with your chosen wedding photographer is a really valuable thing to do on so many levels. This blog is going to explain why!

Your wedding day is one of the most special days of your entire life, and to give the responsibility to one person to ensure that said special day is immortalised forever in photos is something that is really important! You need to make sure that you choose the right person with experience, and someone not only that you gel with as a person, but that their photography style and vision aligns with yours.

The pre-wedding photoshoot is the perfect opportunity to really get to know your photographer and take that relationship that was once an email chain, to being more of a friendship. This is the exact vibe I want to give during my pre-wedding shoots: relaxed and friendly, this way you will feel infinitely more comfortable in front of camera.

So we’ve talked about our favourite movies, discussed our Off Menu Podcast dream menu items, talked about your wedding day, all whilst I capture you beautiful souls in a place that means something to you. I’d say I always recommend we choose somewhere sentimental to you both for the pre-wedding shoot if we can, as these photos will always end up all the better for it.

Having a pre-wedding photoshoot isn’t just great for getting to know your photographer more, this is always a great opportunity to get some assets for your wedding day and promoting your wedding day. Want photos for your RsVP invite branding? Pre wedding Shoot! Want photos for the stationary or around the venue on the day? Pre-wedding Shoot! Want to announce an engagement but in style? Pre-wedding shoot!

I’m always so excited to meet the couples who I will be photographing and working with, so to get to do this before your wedding day is always a massive pleasure. Especially when you bring your dog along, which is always welcome!

If you would like to add a pre-wedding shoot onto your already existing booking, pop me over an email.

Pre-wedding shoots are included in the Photo + Film package, but can be added on at any time from booking to before your wedding day.
